About Jennifer Kreatsoulas, PhD, C-IAYT

Welcome! I am so happy you are here.

I live in Collegeville, PA, with my two daughters, husband, and our dog BoJack. I am a certified yoga therapist specializing in eating disorders and body image. I am the founder of Yoga for Eating Disorders, the former creator and host of Real Body Talk, author of The Courageous Path to Healing and Body Mindful Yoga, educator, and mental health advocate. In addition to working with individual clients, I lead workshops, retreats, and specialized yoga and eating disorder recovery trainings for professionals.

I am also a speaker who is dedicated to educating about eating disorders and guiding those affected to identify the strength in their story. For as long as I can remember, speaking to audiences has exhilarated me. From reading at church in grade school to leading Student Council meetings in high school, to giving poetry readings in college and teaching writing during graduate school, connecting with others through the power of storytelling has always so deeply, viscerally been fundamental to who I am.

My personal story is one of eating disorder recovery. It was a long road, no doubt, and fully owning my story was the most profound turning point in my healing. Yoga was also essential to my recovery, and now, after more than 20 years of recovery experience and professional training as a yoga therapist, I have the true privilege of supporting others on their healing paths through my business, Yoga for Eating Disorders.

The key to all that’s possible in my life now was this: Once I stopped viewing the eating disorder as a “demon” living inside of me and understood how it served as a teacher—a guide of sorts—my entire life opened up. From this place of self-acceptance came confidence and empowerment that’s allowed me to launch my business, host a TV show, publish two books, educate and mentor professionals, and speak internationally.

Maybe your so-called “demon” is self-doubt, or fear, or low self-esteem. Or maybe it’s feeling less than your colleagues or that your body isn’t good enough. Or maybe your “demon” is depression, anxiety, or also an eating disorder. Whatever your story is, I see you and I hear you, and your story matters—In fact, your story is the link to realizing the magnitude of your personal power.

I passionately believe it’s time that we change the cultural conversation about the “demons” within. Consider this: How much more happy, whole, peaceful, empowered, productive, and confident would YOU be in your life if you wholeheartedly believed you had permission to focus on your strengths instead of your perceived limitations? How much healthier would our entire world be if we changed the conversation about mental health from weakness to strength?

When I speak to audiences about self-acceptace, empowerment, and confidence for mental health, my intention is to share all I learned so that you can feel whole, deserving, and positively capable of your dreams. My greatest wish is for everyone in the audience to feel heard and seen, for validation is an incredibly empowering force for change and healing.

I’d love the opportunity to connect with you and explore how I can bring my message to your community. Please get in touch to schedule a call. I look forward to hearing from you!
